October means pumpkins are coming to Clear Lake United Methodist Church, as well as lots of other fun fall activities. This is a FREE event!

Zoo Boo – Houston Zoo
Friday, October 14th, 2016 | 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM | The Houston Zoo 6200 Hermann Park Drive Houston, TX 77303.
This event at the Houston Zoo is the largest family-friendly Halloween event around town. Some activities include: pumpkin patch, candy corners, monster mural, tatzoo parlor, not-so-creepy creature maze, Zoe the Zookeeper’s Howlerween Adventure, festival of fun, mystery boxes and more.

LEGO Mania – Houston Public Library

LEGO maniacs wanted! Let your imagination run wild and explore your engineering skills as you play with LEGO at the library.

Houston Fire Fest

Fire Fest is looking great this year. There will be plenty of KID FRIENDLY activities, lots of LIVE FIRE demonstrations, a PARADE, all sorts of FOOD VENDORS as well as EXHIBITOR BOOTHS, LIVE MUSIC, Brewski’s Bar, and………..wait for it………………oh yeah…….. FIREFIGHTERS!!!!!!!!

A Magic Carpet Ride
Saturday, October 15, 2016 | 10:00 AM.
Journey to a land of princes, princesses—and genies! This magic carpet ride features music from Aladdin, with favorites like “A Whole New World” and “A Friend Like Me.” Also on the program is Rimsky-Korsakov’s magical Scheherazade, as presented by storyteller Hope Shiver, with its dazzling, colorful orchestrations and the tale of One Thousand and One Nights. Our Silk Road adventure is sure to elicit curiosity and evoke intrigue of this exotic and mysterious part of the world.

Duck for President – Main Street Theater

Swing, Jive and Pop! Into Dance -Miller Outdoor Theater
Wednesday,  October 19th, 2016 |   11:00 AM | 6000 Hermann Park Drive, Houston, TX 77030 United States.
METdance’s “Swing, Jive & Pop! Into Dance” incorporates history, fashion, music, and the arts in an interactive blast of excitement. The company dances its way through the eras — Lindy Hops through the 1930s, bops into the 1950s, grooves into the 1970s, and revs things up with the Hip Hop music of today.
Students, teachers, and audience members have the opportunity to converse with the dancers and participate in an energy-filled hour of dance while learning fun, historical tidbits of information along the way.
