  • Our Youngest Artists – The Museum of Fine Arts,Houston

    Babies and toddlers up to 35 months old, and their caregivers, are invited to discover and create! First, they view an artwork in the galleries. Then—using washable, nontoxic materials—babies are encouraged to touch, explore, and make their own works of art inspired by what they have discovered. 
  • An Evening With Owls – The Houston Museum of Natural Science
    Friday & Saturday, September 16 & 17, 2016 | 6:30 PM | The Houston Museum of Natural Science
    Whoooo’s looking at you? It’s no owl. It’s an insect! With black spots rimmed by gold and white on their wings that resemble glowing eyes, owl butterflies’ unique camouflage deters potential predators. These big beauties are especially active at dusk. Spend An Evening with Owls at the Cockrell Butterfly Center and meet this fascinating species up close. Watch hundreds whirl and tumble at twilight, then grab a bite nearby and learn more about their behavior.
  • Cooking Class for Kids – the Italian Cultural & Community Center

    The Italian Cultural & Community Center (ICCC) will host La Piccola Cucina, a hands-on cultural culinary experience for children aged 3-12 years old. In this class, children will wear chef aprons and toques and learn basic Italian language, metric system, and culture while preparing authentic Italian cuisine. Cost of the class is $30.
  • Worldwide Day of Play – The Woodlands Children’s Museum

    For the last decade, Nickelodeon’s Worldwide Day of Play has been an entire day committed to the celebration of physical fitness and active play.     METdance’s “Swing, Jive & Pop! Into Dance” incorporates history, fashion, music, and the arts in an interactive blast of excitement. The company dances its way through the eras — Lindy Hops through the 1930s, bops into the 1950s, grooves into the 1970s, and revs things up with the Hip Hop music of today.
  • The Princess and the Pea –  Miller Outdoor Theater

  • Elephant Open House – Houston Zoo
